I just returned from a short visit to Chicago. Every time I am there I go for a visit to the Precious Blood Ministry of Reconciliation (PBMR). Two of our Sisters work at PBMR. It was founded by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in the Back of the Yards neighborhood in Southside Chicago. Many wonderful and exciting things are happening there. One of the things that they just completed was their summer program. One of the projects of the summer program was to make Peace Poles for their Peace Garden at the Center. One of them is now standing outside. There are three more inside that have not yet been set up. This former empty lot, which now contains a fountain, a labyrinth, flowers, and some new trees, is becoming a place where neighbors can have a little peace and quiet in their lives.
