Peace Heroes

9-11_2This past Sunday, the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, a good size crowd gathered at Riverscape in Downtown Dayton. We gathered to remember the more than 3,000 innocent lives lost that day to a senseless act of violence! We gathered to remember the courage of those first responders who put their lives on the line that day! We gathered to recognize and express gratitude to the “Peace Heroes” in our community and our world, who with their lives call all of us to stand on higher ground! They call us to reach deep within ourselves to that place where God resides and from that place to recognize and reverence God living deep within each person we meet.

May we never forget the grief, the devastation, the spilling of precious blood on Sept. 11, 2001!

May we all be attentive to our attitudes, our words, our action, so that all we believe, all we say and all we do may contribute to a lasting peace for everyone.

May Peace Prevail On Earth!
