Hidden treasure

glass jar with tulipThe other day while cleaning out an old tool shed, I found a quaint looking little glass bottle packed with what looked like dried mud. Having found it in a corner beneath lots of other “castaways,” I figured it may be have been there for a while. On the bottom was an H over A logo raised in the glass. Looking it up I found that the company that produced those bottles went out of business in 1964, so the bottle predated that time. Holding it in my hand, I wondered how many other hands had held it and what part it played in the stories of those folks’ lives? Realizing that I was now part of that story line I pledged to make my paragraph in its book one that would bring curiosity and beauty to the world.
