Our lives are affected by the violence around us, whether it be from watching the news or from the death of someone close to us in an act of brutality. The Sisters of the Precious Blood want to express our solidarity with those who have lost a loved one to violence by praying for your families and community. In 1994, we initiated prayer at homicide sites in Dayton, Ohio—now we want to open up our prayer to the world. Join us as we step toward ending violence in our world.

Make still the restless spirit within me that is self-seeking. Stir within my heart a renewed spirit of reverence, respect and reconciliation. In union with the Precious Blood of Jesus give me strength to break the cycle of violence by realizing that peace begins with me. Amen.

God of the sorrowing, receive our prayers for Phillip, Jaylen, Darius, Bobby and Destiny Bellfo and their families who are hurting because of their untimely deaths. May the love and peace of Jesus Christ console them and may harmony be restored and justice be served. May the fruit of justice and charity reign in every family and neighborhood throughout our communities. We pray in Jesus' name and in the power of his Precious Blood. Amen.

Krysten was a victim of domestic violence. She leaves behind a 4 year-old child. Marcheal was found shot to death in a car. Loving, Father, we commend Krysten and Marcheal into your hands. May they be experiencing your peace. Bless their family and loved ones with healing. May your justice and mercy be upon the perpetrators of these tragedies. We pray in the name of Jesus whose Precious Blood was shed for all. Amen.
