Send-off for Chilean Sisters

After an extended visit in Dayton, Sisters Noemi Flores and Rita Manríquez Silva headed back to Chile Wednesday, August 4. A special blessing was given to Sisters Noemi and Rita during Mass at Salem Heights, our central house in Dayton, before their departure. Sisters gathered in the Salem Heights lobby to say their goodbyes and wish them safe travels. Sister Edna Hess, president of the Congregation, received word that they arrived safely in Chile with no delays.

Sister Noemi serves as a pastoral minister at Capilla Corpus Christi in Santiago, and Sister Rita is sub-director of biblical ministry for the Archdiocese of Santiago. Sisters of the Precious Blood have served in Chile since 1957.
