What a surprise! I was delighted to welcome David Bird and his wife Mary when they came to Salem Heights for a visit last May.
When I was teaching and putting on plays at Regina High School in Norwood, Ohio, I had featured David in the lead male role in Brigadoon in 1962 and then in My Fair Lady in 1965. After graduation, he attended Xavier University in Cincinnati and then became a lawyer.
He and his wife now live in Fulton, Maryland. David and I had not seen each other in years, so it was good to see him again. We took lots of pictures and shared many memories. I enjoyed their visit very much.
