A Summer of Celebration – Celebrating Sister LaKesha

Sisters of the Precious Blood were blessed with a joyous summer! We honored our Sister Jubilarians, welcomed and affirmed the commitment of our newest Sisters, and looked to the future with hope and faith as we elected and installed a new leadership team. Celebrate with us!

On Aug. 19, Sister LaKesha Church renewed her vows of religious profession for up to two years. The Rite of Renewal took place in a home prayer service in California. In attendance were Precious Blood Sisters Mary Faye Hellman, Terry Maher and Margo Young, as well as Sister of the Guardian Angel Hortensia del Villar.

Originally from Lorain, Ohio, Sister LaKesha entered the Sisters of the Precious Blood in 2016 and made her first vows in 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health care management and a master’s degree in early childhood education. Currently she teaches fourth grade at St. Adelaide Academy in Highland, California, and lives in community with Sisters in Redlands.
