Precious Blood Sisters at Salem Heights and in Dayton celebrated milestone jubilees May 7. The community gathered with family and friends for Mass and a reception. “In joy we praise God for …” was the phrase on the first page of the Mass program, and it was with joy that the community marked the anniversaries of the following Sisters:
Sister Rosalie Kastner — 80 years
Sister Rosemary Laux — 75 years
Sister Irene Holz — 60 years
Sister Elizabeth Westgerdes — 60 years
Sister Rosemary Lindemann — 60 years
Sister Nancy McMullen — 60 years
Sister Linda Pleiman — 50 years
Missionary of the Precious Blood Father Kenneth Pleiman celebrated the Mass at Salem Heights Chapel.
“It’s a blessing and an honor to be here today celebrating the anniversaries of women who have lived the vowed life of commitment to the Catholic Church as Sisters of the Precious Blood,” he said during the homily. “You have taken on the mission of Jesus Christ and given generously of your knowledge, skills and energy for the well-being and growth of God’s people. Thank you for your dedicated service.”
