Fatima girls hold reunion
Beginning in the late 1920s, numerous teenage girls attended the high school aspirancy of the Sisters of the Precious Blood. Over the years, many of these young women went on to become sisters. Others moved into different walks of life.

New group will foster connections, spiritual and social gatherings for former members
On July 16 in Dayton, a new group was born to celebrate CPPS heritage and spirituality in the lives of former members of the community. Its name is CPPS Friends.

Lay administrator named for Maria Stein Shrine
DAYTON — The Sisters of the Precious Blood have named Donald C. Rosenbeck as administrator of the congregation’s Maria Stein Shrine of the Holy Relics in Maria Stein, Ohio.

DAYTON — The Sisters of the Precious Blood paid tribute to their oldest living member at a special birthday celebration on Sunday, Aug. 22. Sister Consuella Salmon marked her 100th birthday on Aug. 25.

Hardy pilgrims undeterred by chilly temps
“Stepping Up the Call,” the annual pilgrimage for vocations now in its seventh year, drew more than 150 walkers (plus additional participants in cars) on Saturday, May 8.

CPPS Sisters’ craft showcased in Dayton Daily News
Sisters of the Precious Blood at Salem Heights were recently tapped by the Dayton Daily News for a demonstration of the ancient art of palm weaving, traditionally done with blessed palms from Palm Sunday.

Sisters reported safe after Chile earthquake
DAYTON — The Sisters of the Precious Blood are grateful to report that the sisters in Chile are safe following the 8.8-magnitude earthquake that rocked the South American nation Feb. 27.
