(Where two or three are gathered in my name. . .)
With roots going back to 1993, the Sisters of the Precious Blood held prayer vigils for homicide victims at the site of the homicides. During COVID restrictions, the on-site vigils were replaced by monthly e-mail notices. Aware of the continued violence in Montgomery County, community members from diverse faith congregations are now gathering monthly to pray for victims of violence, their loved ones, the perpetrators, and law enforcement. The prayer vigils take place at 12:00 noon on the second Saturday of each month at Mcintosh Park, 882 West Riverview (near the Peace Bridge, at the corner of Edwin C. Moses Blvd. and Negley Place). Please join in the mission of being a visible presence witnessing to the sacredness of all life.
