Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

The Sisters of the Precious Blood sponsored a Trotwood Baseball Little League team during the 2021 baseball season. A letter to the Congregation from Marcus Fletcher, president of Trotwood Baseball Little League, said that our sponsorship “assisted with the purchase of team uniforms, sports gear, umpire services, insurance, and field equipment; and provided opportunities for our young players to broaden their baseball talents as well as build upon their character and discipline skills.” We are proud to see these young players in the game!

Behind the scenes at Miami Valley Meals

In a previous issue of This Good Work, we shared our visit to Miami Valley Meals, a nonprofit organization in Dayton. MVM continues to grow by leaps and bounds — in one month alone, they provided more than 18,000 meals to 32 partner agencies. A new video from MVM brings you into the kitchen to see the process of preparing, packaging and distributing thousands of fresh, nourishing meals. We are proud to provide financial support to this vital organization.

The Sisters of the Precious Blood donated 2.6 acres of land for the path and surrounding green space.

“We wanted to be good neighbors, and we thought the bike path would be a good thing for families and the community,” said Sister Linda Pleiman. Read More
